Legal
Terms of Service
Effective 15 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and CramBrief ("we", "us") for your use of the CramBrief app and website ("CramBrief"). By creating an account or using CramBrief, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use CramBrief.
1. Who can use CramBrief
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you. You're responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email (and Apple or Google account) secure.
2. What CramBrief does
CramBrief lets you upload study material and use AI features with it: summaries, questions and answers, and a voice tutor. We may add, change or remove features over time.
3. AI answers can be wrong
Summaries, answers and voice replies are generated by AI. They can be incomplete or incorrect, and page references can occasionally point to the wrong place. Use CramBrief as a study aid, check important information against your course material, and don't rely on it for professional (medical, legal, financial or similar) advice.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the files and text you upload ("your content"). You give us a limited permission to store, process and display your content, and to send it to our service providers, only to provide CramBrief to you. You confirm that you have the right to upload your content and that it doesn't break the law or anyone else's rights.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- upload illegal content, content that infringes copyright or other rights, or other people's personal information without permission;
- use CramBrief to cheat in exams or assessments, or in breach of your school's rules;
- attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around CramBrief's limits or security;
- resell CramBrief or use it to build a competing service;
- use it to harass anyone or to create harmful content.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Credits, plans and payments
- Credits. AI features use credits (for example 1 credit for a summary or a question, and 2 credits per minute of voice chat). Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred, and stay in your account while it's open. Current prices in credits are shown in the app.
- Free trial. New accounts get a free trial with a limited number of credits and limits on files and pages. One trial per person.
- Plans. Plus and Pro are subscriptions billed through the App Store or Google Play, monthly or yearly. Each includes monthly credits and higher limits, as described in the app.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled by them under their policies. If a purchase is refunded, we may remove the credits or plan it gave you.
- Prices are shown in your store's currency and can change. Price changes for subscriptions follow the store's rules and notice requirements.
7. Our property
CramBrief, including its design, software and brand, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own studying. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using CramBrief and delete your account at any time from the app's Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or if we stop offering CramBrief; if we close the service, we'll give reasonable notice where we can. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a store subscription. Please cancel it in your store settings as well.
9. Disclaimers
CramBrief is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for a particular purpose, and we don't guarantee any academic results.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data, grades or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to CramBrief is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you in the app or by email about important changes. If you keep using CramBrief after the changes take effect, you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria unless your local law gives you the right to use your local courts.
